Hey, I need some help identifying the following coin. Since I am not familiar with such coins, I need your help. I would guess that the coin is from "greater Iran", but I am not sure.

Diameter: 20mm
Weight: 2.35g
backsite: horseman

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I was unable to find an exact match here, but while searching found this one that comes very close N#71297 .

So you should search within Seljuqs of Rum to find an exact match.

Thanks for the tip, unfortunately I have not managed to find the exact coin type either. Maybe someone else can help? :)

I also think its certainly Seljuq.  I'd recommend that you explore Zeno if you haven't already.  I've done a search here that only slightly expands on your parameters for weight and diameter.  There are several similar ones, but the inscriptions don't seem to be a perfect match with yours.  I think if you comb through Zeno a bit more, you have a decent chance at finding it.

If you do find it on Zeno, I hope you add it to Numista's catalog!

Hey, thanks, on the site I actually found the coin. The application for the Numista catalog I have also just made. Now I'm just waiting for it to be accepted. Here is the link: N#376155
(I don't know if you can see the link yet)
