Hello,

Noticed that one variation is missing that is in 2017 Krause. N#6070

It's 1944 with P above EN near the neck. and one more with P above N. its a bit confusing but Numista lists only one of these

Hi,

in numista I find only one 1944 line today, yesterday I think there were two lines?

I looked into Ucoins and found only TWO variants, as I think I saw in numista yesterday.

In 1944 there was, it seems, only two variants

Km161.1, “EN” under bust,  Mint mark P above “E”, Privy mark acorn

Km161.2, “N” under bust, Mint mark P between “E”&”N”, Privy mark acorn

I would conclude that SCWC managed to copy the last line for the 161.1 as also becoming the first line in km161.2.

Anyway, SCWC is most probably wrong, and so is Numista now, so please make a CR to set numista right again.

The bold lines should both be there for 1944.

Interesting,

They have different prices for these variations in the catalog. I am not familiar with these change requests I should do as Numista is not my coin collection platform so I will leave change requests to someone more familiar with it

Hi,

Don't know what was there yesterday but this is from June 2021 via the Wayback Machine:

S???

I found 12 examples of this coin on ebay.  All 12 were km161.2 type.

This is the one on Ucoin:

Did you find any with an “S” mint mark? Because I haven't found any?

This is the one on Ucoin:

The one with the “P” over “E” and it's the km161.1 with “EN” under the bust!

This is the km161.2 from Ucoin:

The one with the “P” over “EN” and it's the km161.2 with “N” nearly under the bust!

I would very much like to see the one with the “S” mint mark.

Nope.  In 1944 S would have been for the US San Francisco mint.  They made some of the 1944 10 cents coins but not the 1 Gulden.  All the 1944 1 Guldens were made in the US Philadelphia mint.

So this is wrong:

and this is wrong:

So we're back to this:

In 1944 there was, it seems, only two variants

Km161.1, “EN” under bust,  Mint mark P above “E”, Privy mark acorn

Km161.2, “N” under bust, Mint mark P between “E”&”N”, Privy mark acorn

since it involves year line splits, do you think, you can make the CR?

The first one is wrong.  The second one is incomplete.

I'll make the CR to add a new 1944 year line.

I'll also clean up this mess:

Image shows the difference between KM#1261.1 and KM#261.2 Where the lettering ends differently under the truncation of the head.
NOTE: "D" issues classified in local catalogs, but not by Standard Catalog of World Coins  yet. Possible numeration  KM#161.2.
NOTE: for "D" issues with palm-tree mark see Netherlands East Indies N#36509.

Careful with the note D and palmtree, Curacao (Netherlands Antilles) is also included: N#15721

Thanks

The NEI coin is already in the "See also" section.  No need for that comment. I'll add the Curacao to that section too.

Yes, Sir, I never think about the “see also”….
