The best way is to start a swap with an experienced member and follow their advice all during the swap.

Hi krausch, you just ask me to do a swap, you selected one coin that wieghts 1 gram. In normal swaps you are sending around 10-25 coins. For example if i will send 1 coin that have value around 10 cents to US from czechia it would cost around 10 dollars which is for one coin too much. So its better to send more coins to make the costs of the sending profitable.

Quick question about something in the FAQ:

A pre-requisite to swap on Numista is to register the items you want to offer for swap. This is done in the same way as registering items in your collection; just make sure you select “For exchange: yes” when adding an item to your collection.

If I add a coin to swap and put ‘For Exchange: Yes’ does it show up as part of ‘my collection’ in stats and counts, etc?

I really don't feel like ‘extras' ARE part of my collection so I don't want to pollute my numbers,  but I would like to dip my toe into swapping.

Yes but you can filter to just show non-swap coins.
