No, people think $2 bills are valuable because they don't see many of them in circulation, but they made a very large number of them.

I think the OP was referring to the serial number.

The original 1976 issue of the $2 green seal note has a certain collector appeal in non-UNC.

I can't see any extra collector value for the serial number.

Agreed.  The number is /close/ to a repeater or a radar, but it isn't either of those.
I wouldn't pay over face value for this note.
