Please help identify coin/token English script

English script, the obverse text is “POPE JOHN PAUL II” and a headshot of Pope John Paul 2. On the reverse, the text is “Basilica De Guadalupe” and an engraving of the basilica. It's the size of a US 1-dollar coin. Can y'all help?

Guessing it is an event medal/token commemorating the papal visit (Google) in 1999
