I wish everyone celebrating the 1st Sunday of Advent around the world a nice day and listen to the Advent songs:

Thanks Ivan!

Here in the Netherlands we also celebrate “Sinterklaas" which is like a weird saint-man that gives presents on the 5th of december (pakjesavond)!

He comes from Spain, and you can also lay your shoe and his helpers (pieten) come and fill it with a small present and some candy. Unfortunately when i was 6 i saw that the carrot that i used in a shoe (you need to give a present for the saint or his horse ozosnel, you can also draw something and you also sing some sinterklaas-songs) was back in the fridge.

You could conclude that my parents had filled the shoe 😅🥲.

But my mom is Swedish so we try to go to Sweden every year (this year we managed to book tickets!).

So we get double presents because in Sweden Christmas is a big deal!

If we do not manage we just celebrate it here and also get double presents :)

Have a nice Christmas and pakjesavond ;),

And oh yeah, i can recommend Koppangen (swedish christmas song with the beautiful Anne Sofie von Otter)! (Swedish version!)

Yes, fellow collectors, it was our composition https://cs.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jakub_Jan_Ryba

,,Czech Christmas Mass,,

However, in most cities and households-villages they play and sing this carol on the streets (only this year we have it connected with the calamity of snow)

I will listen to all your songs mate - fellow collector.

Interesting. We also celebrate Saint Nicholas Day here in Hungary, but it's on the 6th of December.
