Hello, I got this medallion and can't find it anywhere on the internet. PLZ help with ID

Just make out the inscription below the device, maybe “WELLINGS” ..?

that is one clue.

Similar items are to be found on ebay in the $10-$15 range.

 

Also found that the device is the badge of HMCS Shearwater
