Vendre des pieces euros en Australie

Peut être est ce une question bête.

Je pars en Australie dans quelques jours, et je voudrais savoir si ça pourrais être utile d'amener quelques pièces de ma collection pour les vendre ou les échanger.

Si quelqu'un a des infos, ou connait du monde la -bas, ça m’intéresse.   :-)

Bonsoir Fred, en cliquant sur ce lien tu aura accès aux membres Australiens de Numista, ça pourrait être l'occasion d'accéder à des pièces que tu n'aurais pas fait venir par courrier postal. En utilisant la carte tu peux directement sélectionner des membres proches de ta future localisation.

Je n'y connais rien mais vérifie bien la législation du pays ou vis à vis des douanes concernant d'éventuelles limites ou restrictions qu'on ignorerait si tu comptes en emmener beaucoup.

Je vais a Sydney principalement, mon frère habite la-bas depuis 7 ans maintenant, et on a enfin la possibilité d'y aller.

If you are interested in getting some Australian coins while you are here, I would recommend Wynards and Town Hall Coins & Collectables. They are both located in Sydney and stock older coins, world coins, as well as new releases.
 

It is a common practice to do what we call ‘noodling’ down here - acquiring rolls of coins from the bank for face value and looking through these coin rolls. The ‘normal’ coins are then deposited back to the bank. It is not uncommon to find coloured $2 coins and commemorative coins of all denominations.

Yes, all of the ‘big four’ banks (NAB, ANZ, Westpac, Commbank) should stock coin rolls. There are many of these in all cities including Sydney. 
 

 Some will have coin roll ATMs which are typically member-only, but you will be able to ask the teller for ‘$200 in 50 cent coin rolls’ for example, without an account.

Bonsoir, si tu as besoin de quoi que ce soit n'hésite surtout pas Fred, on peut te trouver une carte avec la localisation des boutiques sur place, une liste de celles qui sont dans un certain rayon autour de ta destination ou toute autre information qui pourrait t'être utile avant ton départ, je n'ai besoin de rien pour ma part et je suis très content pour toi que tu puisses revoir ton frère, n'hésite pas à nous rapporter quelques photos de ton vol et de ton voyage. 😉

First I will look for “obvious” coloured and commemoratives first.

I have been told that it could be complicated for a foreigner to simply enter into a bank , and ask for rolls. Could you tell me about this, please? Any place it could be easy to have rolls, to recommand?

That sounds like a good idea. 
 

I am not aware of any restrictions for exchanging coins and notes as a foreigner, but I can see how this could be an issue. If not, I suppose it would be possible to get an Australian with a bank account to do this process on behalf of you.

That sounds like a very fun trip so far, I am glad you are having a good time here.
