The first one. probably a Rupee, is part of the set of dies produced by the Birmingham mint in England. Around 1863-4 the Burmese government ordered a complete mint including the machinery, dies and blanks to be shipped to Mandalay palace grounds and erected there.
It was operated by locals who were trained by operatives sent out from Birmingham. 36 million peacock coins in 4 denominations were produced using 600 pairs of dies from the original shipment.
