That's still very small. Do you by any chance know how much you could buy for one Peseta back then?

Thanks.

Compared to 4mm, my 14mm 1 Kreuzer - Louis III - Grand duchy of Hessen-Darmstadt – Numista is positively massive.

I have multiple Maundy pennies, they are 10.7mm diameter and 0.47 gram in weight. Don't have my hard drive at moment so can't show pictures sorry

I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

They were minted up until 2001 in tens of millions, so I assume they were still circulating when the euro replaced peseta. The exchange rate was 166.386 pesetas for 1 euro. Plus accounting for inflation its worth was around today 1 euro cent coin.

Here is my smallest one.

Only 6-7mm.

How did they find out that this was a coin? If I found that I'd think that it's a small stone! Jokes aside, that's a very interesting piece of history.

Nothing microscopic like some of the posts, but a 9mm from Dutch India

ASE for scale

By size, it's N#8119 which I've just recently bought. Before that, it was N#14061

By weight, it's N#3391 and N#3280

HoH

Those are some very small coins, everyone! Mine would be this ‘Chickvirappa Wodeyar’ Indian Princely States gold 1 Fanam.

This coin has an approximate diameter of  8mm, and a weight of 0.32g. I apologise for the extremely poor quality and blurry photos, these were taken when I first purchased the coin and I found it quite hard to photograph  a coin of this size, it appears!

And in comparison to a 16mm threepence:

Perfectly written Arabian text in a 10 mm coin! A work of art!
