I would be interested to know whether the 5 Reichsmark coins of Potsdam Garrison Church without a date can actually be viewed as commemorative coins. Without the date, they lack the commemorative aspect of the other variant and were issued in 1934 and 1935. In my opinion, they were intended as standard circulation coins - but the death of Paul von Hindenburg gave rise to the option of a new design

This coin is in the same situation.

I see no reason to doubt KM and the style, with a building, is different from other coins of the era.

On the other hand, Schön and AKS don't mention the commemoration.

(I just noticed that the two coins give the reference as Schön DM instead of Schön. I'll deal with that.)

There is a difference between the 2 Reichsmark coin and the two 5 Reichsmark coins. There are commemorative issues of 2 and 5 Reichsmarks with a date and the 5 Reichsmark coin without a date. While the two issues with a date are undoubtedly commemorative coins, I don't think so with the issue without a date.
