Recently I created a page for the new 50 Riyals (Saudi Central Bank), 2021, 2024 issues.

it was placed in the general category of “Saudi Arabia”, while all other banknotes are in the newly created created subcategory of “Saudi Arabia (1932-Date).” Within that category are additional two subcategories of “Riyal (1925-1960)” and “Riyal (1960-date)”

the new 50 Riyals page:

N#412890

belongs in the “Saudi Arabia (1932-Date) • Riyal (1960-date)“ category with all its modern counterparts.

I can see some changes were made to separate out the Hashemite Kingdom of Hejaz and Kingdom of Hejaz and Nejd (1926-1932) into their own countries/pages or subcategories, that’s why when searching for Saudi banknotes we see Saudi Arabia > Saudi Arabia > Saudi Arabia (1932-Date).

Unlike Saudi coins, no Saudi banknotes were issued under the “Kingdom of Hejaz and Nejd (1926-1932) name, so that subcategory is hidden when searching in the banknotes section.

Is it possible to simplify this categorization structure?

so when searching coins you see:

Saudi Arabia > Saudi Arabia (1932-Date)

Saudi Arabia > Hejaz and Nejd (1926-1932)

and when searching banknotes you see

Saudi Arabia > Saudi Arabia (1932-Date)

Instead of seeing “Saudi Arabia“ twice in the categorization tree as shown in the screenshots.

Investigating.

I’ve finally been able to request an edit to switch the issuer of the newly added 50 Riyals (Saudi Central Bank) page from Hejaz and Nejd (1926-1932) to Saudi Arabia (1932-date).

For some reason I wast able chose that issuer in the drop down menu before.

Once this edit is accepted, hopefully that should fix the issue of the new 50 Riyals appear in it’s own category.

As for the appearance of the categorization tree structure, that can probably only be fixed by the site admin.
