Real or fake Valens follis? [solved]

2 posts • viewed 71 times

Hello,

I am currently looking for a secvritas reipublicae coin from the emperor Valens. I check on ebay and found this one but I am not sure if it a real one or a fake. it looks too good and the wing look too long and curvy compared to other coins from SISCIA I have seen. being relatively new to roman Coin collecting, I wanted to hear what others might think about it. So do you believe this is a real one or a fake ?

thanks for the answer

Looks good to me. 4th century small bronze coins aren't hard to find in such high grade.

I collect and deal in ancient Roman coin. In case you're looking for affordable ancient coins or need any help with the coins you already have send me a message.
