I have a silver Andre Lebon Medallion and it is numbered. Does anyone have any idea what this medallion might be worth?

What kind of number does it show? What is else on the edge, french you will most of the times find its metal content on the edge.

My apologies I have another French  medallion that is numbered, I cannot locate a number. The edge states Ronz(e) © , in addition there is a triangle imprinted next to the word. My presumption that the medallion is silver is based on the bleach test, it tarnished immediately.  I was gifted several medallions and really do not what value they may have.

Thanks for any help you can offer!

Maybe the rests of “Bronze”, could be silver plated bronze (example).

A photo would help much!

Hello, I did post photos of the medallion on my original posting, I can repost if it helps. While it is certainly possible that it is silver plated bronze, I would lean against that theory as the medal has some scratches and a small gash. I as always good be entirely wrong.

Thanks for your help

Sorry, I meant photos of the edge, showing it's markings and stamp!

I tried taking a picture of the edge of the medallion, I could not get a clear picture. Under a magnifying glass It looks like there may have bee another letter probably a  (B) which Would make sense. Is there such a thing as a silver  looking form of bronze? The bleach test I conducted on the medal indicated silver, the test may not be very accurate and might react with other metals.  On the side with the picture of the ship there is a notation that says GR Sandoz Edit.

I apologize for not being able to take a clear picture as the stamp is so small.

I will presume  the medallion is bronze and not silver.

thanks

This is from the example I linked above:

Do you have the same marking?

My bet is your medal is silver plated Bronze.

Yes it has the same marking except the B in bronze is not legible. I really appreciate your help! Does this medallion have any value, as it was gifted I will not sell it but I am curious.

Thanks so much for your help,

Cornfield
