We have two Luzern 1 rappen from 1839:

N#226859

N#23091

Unfortunately, we have the same images for both. Does anyone know what the differences are and which image is correct? The two pages have no information to distinguish them, only HMZ and Divo/Tob caltalogue numbers. The KM# are the same.

Weight stands out as different. Don't know if both are correct.

Yes, the diameter is also smaller for the second piece.

That, too.  SCWC does not list a diameter or weight for KM# 118.  So, maybe the other catalogs hold the key.  Regardless, the same coin should not be used for both.

I no one else with HMZ responds I will investigate in a couple weeks when I get access to my HMZ.

We had 3 versions of the good type in the history of the page, I restored last one.

That now makes a lot more sense. My very old SCWC ignores the type with a circular wreath. If that remained the case until the last edition, I would suggest removing the KM#118 from that page to hopefully ensure the same erroneous edit doesn't happen again.

I finally pulled out HMZ and what we have now is great.

(If I was to pick nits I would say that N#23091 should be KM# 119 var instead of KM# 118 var. But the problem's with KM. N#23091 is more clearly a distinct type than KM# 118 (N#226859). The best solution is three pages as we have it.)
