When the bank of England announced back in May U.K. residents can exchange up to £300 in exchange of the new notes featuring King Charles on the obverse via post I was quite ecstatic. I completed the exchange form and posted it alongside the cash registered postage of course! and it arrived at the BoE on the 10th of June. Well a fortnight later I’m starting to get slighlty concerned about how long the exchange is taking. Plus as well I requested it to be send to my home address registered as well. Has anyone received any KCIII notes through the BoE exchange program and if so how long did it approximately Took?
Hi to whoever is reading this. Did you know that TYPEWRITER (on a QWERTY keyboard) is the longest word you can type using only the letters on one row of the keyboard.

I hope the following will not increase your concerns.
My trading partner in the UK used registered mail for sending and receiving the banknotes.
His letter arrived at the BoE on June 5th, he had the KCIII notes at his home address on June 15th.
Well I’ll try to find a contact number because I have a feeling they might have been stolen on the way back to me.

“Due to large volumes of applications for King Charles III banknotes being received, please allow up to 8 weeks for your application to be processed before contacting us.”
So likely I have to wait another 5 ½ weeks because I call them.

Do you have the tracking number for the Registered Post packet, if so you can check it periodically to see if it has been posted.
I always use Royal Mail Special Delivery if I am posting anything valuable (not just notes, passport application etc). The contents can be fully insured for their value. The incidence of items being stolen in the mail is very low for this service, so there should be no worries there.
Thankfully today they have arrived and have been added to my collection all but the £10 are consecutive.

Prefixes???
The ones I got are;
£5: CA37 x4
£10: HB17 x5
£20: EH29 x4 (Although my dad got EH28 in change last week)
£50 : AJ30 x3
The ones I received in the exchange were all consecutive except the £10 where they were between 2 and 13 apart from one another.
The first prefixes were these;
£5: CA01 000001
£10: HB01 000001
£20: EH01 000001
£50 : AJ01 000001
Because the notes are a continuation of the same series they didn't start from AA01.
The lowest I’ve seen is a dealer on a Facebook group managed to acquire £5 CA01 the 95, 96 and 97th example and was reselling them for £995 I think.
