I got my first £20.00 note with King Charles on Tuesday, by the time I had done my shopping & got home I had spent it.

I had some Queen Elizabeth ones in my wallet but by mistake spent the King Charles one.

I did notice that the serial number & letters on the reverse seem to follow on from the end of the Queen Elizabeth ones.

Does anybody have details of the change over numbers?

If you send pictures of your notes to this thread we may be able to eventually find the change point.

What will be the value of the last few Elizabeth & first few Charles notes in a few years?

Latest Queen Elizabeth :-  DK07 652734

Earliest King Charles :-

If serial numbers are reported I will update from time to time

Thanks, Merv

Thanks for the info. ZacUK

It's a pity it has made this thread a bit short.

I'd still like to see some pictures & numbers of Numista members last & first notes just as a matter if interest.

Here is my latest QE2 note.

Members can still write what they find - plus now they know,

assuming what is on those links is correct,

which numbers to look for to get a first and last of each denomination.

Such as a BC60 Elizabeth and a CA01 Charles £5 note.

Such as the other day I got my first Charles note,

and it was a £10 with HB40 number -

so the correct letters but 39 higher than HB01 …

I’ve only received a £20 note in circulation however I have acquired the set plus a few duplicates through the BoE note exchange.

Hi to whoever is reading this. Did you know that TYPEWRITER (on a QWERTY keyboard) is the longest word you can type using only the letters on one row of the keyboard.

I went to the bank two weeks ago to take out a large sum of cash

I received £4000.00 in consecutive numbered £20 notes!

My bank told me it was all they were issuing from their branch now from then on were the new notes.

I didn't keep any of them I don't collect notes.

Unused numbers are always interesting!

There are a lot of unused numbers there.

Coincidentally, C H A and E are all letters in King Charles' name.
