Milled edge [solved]

Good day. I have a 1 Tallero which is in extremely good condition (not the grade) with lustre.

I am a little concerned it's a fake as it has a milled edge instead of the FERM around the edge.

Is this a fake or a genuine coin.

Thank you all.

Can you show us pictures of yours.

This is a type that I know most you find around are fakes.

Hello & thank you for your quick reply!

Found on an Italian Numismatic Forum saying that all examples with milled edge are indeed fake coins.

OK thank you. I'm gonna go & beat my head against a wall now!

Its always annoying and it happens to all of us. I also haid my fair share of experiences 😱

At least we usually learn from it and with time you will gain experience so that at least it happens not that often to fall for fakes.
