Hello! Please help with identification of this token.

Hi,

1 franc : can be French, Belgian, Swiss, Luxembourgian…

With no indication of the emitter, it will be impossible to ID precisely.

The plainness of the item and that it is made of zinc may suggest a WWI or WWII Occupation coin or internment token. Though it does not look like any Occupation coin that I have seen. My guess is that it is an internment token - P.O.W. (or enemy alien) money.

I could not find the exact one, but if you look under internment or confinement tokens in the catalogue you will notice many similarities to the zinc ones. AY

Zinc is not an argument to make it military. Could be an anonimous business token, as they are many of them (but few in numista catalogue), although they are more often made of brass. Blank reverse is made to recieve a counterstamp, eventualy.

Still I agree with the period : 1st half of the 20th c.
