Suspect Play Money. THIS TURNED OUT TO BE A GAMING TOKEN: date unsolved [solved]

 Hi All!  I suspect this cool little token is play-money, but cannot be certain. I have run it through Numista's and Google's image searches, without success. Mainly, I would like to know if it is indeed play-money, and if not, then what it may be. Country, date, and any other details would also be welcome. I can tell you it has a smooth edge, is 19 mm across, and weighs 1.16 g.

 We have a Janus-faced, crowned figure on one side (Obverse?) and a pixie or sprite type fairy-creature on the other, carrying a lantern and a stick. A guide, perhaps? The composition is probably brass.

Not sure that is a Janus face - it seems more like a three faced trinity

I shall Google three-faced trinity, but I have to say it doesn't fit with my image of the trinity. Maybe it's the Faerie King?

Just been looking at ‘the king’s three faces' as a google images search - maybe worth a try.

 This is indeed the same token mentioned in the other Numista post that you were no doubt pointing me towards. I think that a Janus can have from two to four heads, so on the Obverse is Janus. The story of Diogenes was most enlightening, and I believe this to be He upon the Reverse. I also believe that this is a gaming token, used by some esoteric group, perhaps in their weekly game of poker. 1700s-1900s is a bit of a wide gap for my liking, so I would consider that the date of this item is still up-in-the-air.
