Looking for help identifying and learning more about this coin

I am helping an older friend inventory his collection, and I cannot find any information on this Coin.  As you can see, he has some identification on it, but that is not getting me anywhere in terms of learning more on it. Any information or other places to look is appreciated.

Search for image in exonumia. Not in coins.

Catalogue got multiple matches in obverse and lettering. Only reverse details are not as fine as in catalogue.

Ducat should be around 3.5 gram and 22mm.

10 ducats - 35 gram and 42mm

Since you got lettering and country/location of origin, you can search for other examples matching your weight and size in your favorite search engine.

Yes, verify weight (2 Ducats - 6.82g or so if genuine)  diameter, gold content if any, etc, and it is not a coin but a medal. Yours could be a replica in another metal for instance.

Edit: In the attached link the example is 2 Ducats. #583. Your coin indicates #584. Either a note error or it weighs differently and perhaps a 1 Ducat or other denomination.

fr..  should be an abbreviation of a reference in Friedman's catalog of world gold coins.

Didn't remember correctly,

It is Friedberg.

Thank you all I am going to hopefully get back to this tomorrow.  I am going to have to get a copy of the book as well!
