China/Japan - Large 45 gram Bronze (?) 55mm Amulet/Medallion [solved]

Hello everyone.  I came across this large medallion/token.  I'm not certain that it was coinage of any era.  Does anyone know where I can find information about it? Thanks.

 

Full Diameter: 54.65mm

Thickness: 3.42mm

Internal Square Dimensions: 7.7mm x 7.9mm

Weight: 44.86 grams

Composition: Bronze (?)

Thank you for the reference.  I'll continue searching the database for similar examples. Although, despite the weight, composition, and petina, it's possible that the medallion could be a fake or a novelty?  We'll see…

You may try to identify each chararcter by the mean of Google translate, manuscrit writing: 

There is an obvious character that means Buddha

Even though it refers to a japan generic coin, characters are old chinese.

Callygraphy is with bold font so probably modern, you might find relations to buddhism in the reference site for charms :
