obviously fake.

Agreed.  This bank note is laughably fake.  As an American, I'm still laughing after seeing it.

In fact, this is already documented on Numista:  N#205545

So the stamp isn't original to the note? that's PMD then, best I can do is $999.999

HaHa!!!  Exactly!

Well, according to this site this is a legit note

Ha. Clearly a mistype.  Perhaps a Numista referee can correct it.

Notice that the date on the fictitious note is the year 2000.  Back in 1969 the U.S. Department of Treasury announced that there would be no new bank notes issued in the United States that are larger than $100.  This is well documented.

Follow-up:  I just submitted a CR on this erroneous comment to change “note” to “NOT”.  It's up to the Referees to make the change.

To bad they cherry picked the words from the second amendment.

HaHa.  I know, right?  The whole thing looks like it was designed by a 5-year old.

Well, according to this site this is a legit note

Just an update:  the Numista Referees fixed it:

Status changed to Solved (dynasties, 4 Ekim 2024, 12:27)
Status changed to Opened (dynasties, 4 Ekim 2024, 12:28)

It's totally fake
