Incorrect date on recent Saudi Banknotes? [solved]

I was wondering why is the date of recent Saudi bills changed from 2024 to 2023?

Probably because the date conversion was used to convert the AH date on the banknotes to AD date.  AH Year 1445 from the Islamic calendar is July 19, 2023 - July 7, 2024 and typically the earlier year is used. For these banknotes the AD date is actually on the reverse and should be changed back to 2024.

You should make a request in the Banknote catalog forum (requesting the modification of a banknote in the catalog tag) to get them corrected.

Yes, because of what rsirian1 mentions, some years must be manually overridden due to the default.
