Hello everyone,
I have recently found this coin, which is the 1 Decime Dupré from the 5th year of the French Republic, minted in Lille. Generally, it seems like this coin is rare. But, while looking at it under a certain light, I've noticed that there seems to be an accent on the first ‘e' of Republique, but I'm not sure about it, as I can't find any auction records for this type. The coin I'm talking about is this one:
Here are the photos, could you help me with that? It feels like the spot is slightly raised, but it is hard to see due to the bad state of this coin. :(
Obverse:
Reverse (1):
(Took with macro, on my phone, hence the yellow lighting.)
Reverse (2):
(Taken through a magnifying glass and other, more natural, lighting.)
Reverse (3):
(Higher zoom.)
The accent becomes clearer in the first reverse picture, at least according to me. I'm making sure because I want to be sure that it isn't confirmarion bias.
Thank you everyone for your help! Kind regards. :)
