hmm just send him a message saying that you want the exact weight of the coin as you think that the coin might be a forgery.

It seems he was at the same time selling a countermarked coin:
Which really makes me wonder, is this Numista entry a fake? https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces27874.html
Notice how the reported diameter of 38mm differs from the regular 5 peseta 1871 of 37mm.
The 1871 pesetas are often faked, so not sure, but could be a fake too. I think I saw the counterstamped 1871 sold as fake several times on eBay.

The seller is a 70 year old man with hundreds of positive and no negative reviews. He says he inherited the collection from his father... Imagine how much it sucked to be giving him the news all coins he's been selling are fake :-/
They can't? That doesn't seem right... however I didn't buy the coin on the actual eBay but on the Swedish somewhat different site, where sellers and buyers are equal in their ability to give reviews.
