Hello experts,

I couldn't find anything about this one

Looks like  a lion, visible two letters that can be GR or CR or GB

And a crowned monogram “FR”

Sorry the bad picture, tried the best light angle to get most of the design visible.

Diameter: 17mm

Weight: 0.65g

Thank you for any comment!

Monogram resembles Friedrich I of Hesse-Kassel, which also has a lion in their heraldry, but I cannot find them both on the same coin.

I thought I see IGB and that could be Johann Georg Breuer

for Kassel.

might have to check my books when I have time

Salve, potrebbe essere un falso perché Johann Georg  Büttner (IGB) è stato maestro di zecca dal 1657 al 1680 e Federico I ha regnato dal 1730 al 1751. Forse imitava questo quarto di ducato.

Thank you all for the responses,

Indeed could be a fake,  but it’s strange that the counterfeiter added inscriptions (visible at the bottom of the lion) that don’t exist on the original gold coin.

After searching a lot, I guess is a fake coin,  most probably a fake Albus of Hesse-Cassel (km#435) since there are even the CB visible

Thank you guys for all the input
