Public Service Announcement: Canada Post strike

Just a Public Service Announcement: As of last Friday (Nov. 15/2024) Canada Post is on strike.  

No new letters can be sent, and letters in the system will not be processed and delivered. 

Please be mindful of this fact if your swaps with Canadian peers take longer than usual.  Last time this happened it lasted a couple of weeks and then another couple until the backlog of stuck items was cleared. I personally got some letters stuck in the process (same as now) but all eventually made it. 

I'll post an update to this notice as soon as the issue is resolved (hopefully soon).

Oh shoot… I just sent a letter on the 16th.

As mentioned in the other post (Quoting Serial_Number_8):  "The Fed government sent in a mediator on Friday 13th. News outlets such as this one, are reporting that they [Canada Post employees] should return to work tomorrow (Tue, Dec 17th, 2024).  So those who sent something here- the item(s) should be in transit again, ultimately reaching their destination. FYI"

So letters should start flowing through the system again.
