Yes, a world crown is the largest coin which was in circulation at the time of usage.

I know
I’m not a troll, I’ve been on this website for a long time and never heard the term ”world Crown” I definitely wouldn’t have thought it applied to Ike dollars.
No need to be a rude Jerk, the explanation was enough…
Neither would I, see my earlier posting. The “World Crown” is the OP's own invention, see above.

Nope! Many U.S. collectors say that common term all the time!

You're fooling yourself if you believe that, The price of silver at the time was $4.30/oz. So in 1976 the $1 silver coin contained $1.36 in silver. Did a kid somewhere steal his mommy's silver coin and buy bubble gum with it? Possibly. Sorry, that coin does not qualify as a World Crown coin according to your definition.

PCGS disagrees with you:
“In the grander scheme, world crowns are legal-tender silver coins that are tied to the unitary denomination of their issuing nation, such as the United States dollar, British pound, German mark, etc.). Most silver crowns contain relatively high silver purity, usually around 90% fineness or higher. And the typical crown carries a diameter of 35 to 42 millimeters. ... These parameters include a bevy of popular, widely familiar silver coins, including the Spanish Pieces of Eight, Morgan and Peace Dollars, Canadian Dollars, Australian Dollars, Peruvian Un Sols, Japanese 1 Yens, French 5 Francs, and Mexican Pesos; this list may be expanded to include silver bullion coinage such as American Silver Eagles, British Britannias, Chinese Pandas, and many others.”

My statement of A standard circulating modern coin which has a diameter of >35mm is exactly the same just is more boarder. Don't see your point?
