Have Searched High and Low Without Luck on This One

The coin appears to be copper. Weighs 9.1g.  Thanks in advance if anyone can shed light.

The symbol is called a Balemark, similar ones are used on coins of the United East India company but bear the letters VEIC.. I have seen examples of tokens issued by independent traders and it might be something along those lines

 No idea what D D means. Tried to find it.

Not nearly but completely 😀 It is actually the Latin alphabet in use here so you are seeing the initial letter of the first word of United East India Company  British coins used the Latin letter V as there is no letter U in Latin
