Tried my best to make a list of rulers for Madras. I'm no expert, just interested, but hope it's a help :D

It seem like a lot of coins were minted posthumously for Alamgir II.

The line between the East India Company and the British Empire is quite blurry at times.

Hey there!

Thanks for the contribution and research, this kind of work helps numista a lot, I was able to check myself and agree with you.  If I understand you better (correct me if I'm wrong or anything), you want these rulers to appear in the ruling authority in the coin entry itself. If this is it, I do not have the rights to create them as I'm only a referee, our heroes for this kind of work are @Jarcek and @Compendium who can help with this, if they see fit. This applies for the other two posts.

Thank you in advance dear team

Warm regards,

Stef

Should be good
Please do not attach ruler for posthumous issues of course
Also, do not use external rulers as “periods”

Guidelines can help you understand when to use ruling authorities, it may be tricky for those indian issues sometimes

And don't forget issuing entities too :-)
For instance this coin should have the EIC attached
