Proving the coin is authentic

Hello

i have this coin in my collection. I am trying to have someone take a look at it to prove it’s authentic, but I am in an area that has no experts to consult.  Also, because this coin has been sought after for so long there are a lot of copies out there. This is making it difficult for the coin to be taken seriously. I am thinking of sending it to NCG for certification.  Do you think this would be a good first step?

the coin is irregular round averaging 7/8 inch to 1 inch. I am including pictures of the coin as well as the material makeup.

Linked coin page shows how much authentic coin is valued.

Maybe trying to figure out how coin entered your collection will tell enough without sending it to authentication services.

You probably will not get answer to million dollar question on forum.

Looks like a replica to my eye. Similar but not quire right
