1 Rupee-Ahmad Shah Bahadur-Mint Identification Require [solved]

Hi,

I have 1 rupee coin of Ahmad Shah Bahadur, year (11)61AH, Regnal Year Ahd (01)is visible. Mints look Bhakkar.

Please support to identify Mint  and KM#. Picture is attached for reference. Size around 22.5mm. Weight 11.38g.

I think you're right. The AH (11)61 and ry 1 are visible.

Found a similar one on Zeno, with AH(11)63/ry 2 and Bhakhar mint: https://www.zeno.ru/showphoto.php?photo=85669

I found it in the Krause cataloge too, as KM#446.7, with no picture and very little details (2003 edition, p. 646).

Also: why are those deep, pointy marks on a lot of medieval indian silver coins? Was that a method to check if these are actually silver, by poking them with an awl?

Hello

Yes you're right

Thank you guys for the suppport.

And I was told that deep pointed marks are sheriff marks (Test marks) by one one of my collector friend.

Thanks! It's good to know, I'll keep an eye out for these marks.
