WHY ARE PEOPLE ASKING FOR RIDICULOUS SUMS OF MONEY ( 25,000, 22.500, 45,000, 25,600 ETC, ETC ) FOR THESE COINS AS 138.960 MILLION WERE MINTED, WHEREAS COINS WITH BA ON ARE GOING RELATIVELY CHEAP . ONLY 42.5 MILLION WERE MINTED. SURELY THESE ARE THE KEY 5 PESETA COINS?
there are several assumptions. Either: - they argue that it is an error coin because Franco disappeared in 1975 at last, - they try to attract nostalgics of Francoism by commemorating Franco's death, - simply, someone started the trend, like the "S" in the star of the Greek 2€, and others followed, - they hope that an unlucky person presses by mistake:" I buy " (it happens sometimes and ebay does not set a limit to the amount of the immediate purchase)
- by this particularly high price, they can seek to attract followers of numerology. Indeed, the number 75 is a combination of the energies of the number 7, which symbolizes spirituality, wisdom and inner research, with those of the number 5, representing freedom, adaptability and adventure. Together, they create a vibration that encourages to combine the quest for spiritual wisdom with the desire for exploration and adventure in life, - arithmeticians can also be attracted by this subtle combination of the first 5 prime numbers: 75 = 1 * 3 * 25. We find 1, 2, 3, 5 and 7! - to go further, 75 is a self number because there is no integer that added up to its own digits adds up to 75. It is the sum of the first five pentagonal numbers, and therefore a pentagonal pyramidal number, as well as a nonagonal number, etc... - Muslims also venerate the surah Al-Qiyama in the Koran bearing the number 75, - and what about the Spanish emigrants in Paris, department 75 !
Why are you using caps - thats called “E Shouting” and bad manners. Unless of course you have like a phone from 1999.
I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

I USE CAPS AS IT AVOIDS NEEDING TO USE THE SHIFT KEY ALL THE TIME. IF YOU HAD ARTHRITIS YOU'D UNDERSTAND. SHOUTING WOULD BE IN BOLD. I ALSO WRITE IN CAPS AS SOME LINKED( JOINED UP WRITING ) IS HARD TO READ…ESPECIALLY SPANISH, WHICH IS WHERE I LIVE.

A lot of times people try to sell a completely normal coin on eBay for thousands of dollars, thinking that it’s worth money. But the truth is, most of them aren't special. I would see something like “SUPER ULTRA RARE PENNY WITH NO MINT MARK” being sold for 50 grand, when it’s just a normal penny.
Did you know that Pluto is still a planet in Illinois and New Mexico and has de facto recognition as a planet in Arizona?

Looked up “us penny” and I didn’t have to scroll very far down to find this
It does look like the copper has been scraped off the edge, showing the zinc beneath, but other than that it just looks like a normal penny

And the thing is, this penny is never going to sell. No one wants to waste 40 grand on a completely normal penny, so it’s just gonna sit on eBay, waiting for someone to care about it.

YES, I AGREE, IT DOES LOOK LIKE A NORMAL PENNY THAT HAS BEEN ALTERED. WHEN I FIRST STARTED I PAID 30 ODD EUROS FOR A SPANISH 1 EURO COIN FROM IRELAND WHERE THE CENTRE HAD CAREFULLY BEEN PUNCHED OUT AND THEN REPLACED REVERSED MAKING IT LOOK RARE. YOU COULD NOT SEE ANY DAMAGE ON THE ACTUAL COIN, BUT WITH A LITTLE EFFORT I MANAGED TO POP IT OUT MYSELF. NOW IT'S BUYER BEWARE.
ON ANOTHER ISSUE I DON'T AGREE WITH WEBSITES SELLING REPRODUCTION COINS ALONGSIDE GENUINE COINS. SOMEONE, MAYBE A NOVICE LIKE I WAS, WILL MAKE A MISTAKE AND BUY IN ERROR, IT'S EASILY DONE. THE WEBSITES SHOULD PUT THEM UNDER A SEPARATE HEADING SUCH AS REPRO COINS, ALSO ALL THESE COINS MADE INTO JEWELLERY SHOULD SURELY BE PUT IN JEWELLERY, NOT COINS , I REFER ESPECIALLY TO “ATOCHA TREASURE”. THERE ARE LOADS FOR SALE AND YOU NEED TO KEEP SCROLLING THROUGH ALL THESE NON COINS TO SEE WHATS OUT THERE. IT'S IRRITATING.

I completely agree with you. My cousin bought me these fake Morgan dollar, silver eagle, and gold eagle coins, thinking they were real. But as soon as you put a magnet close to them, they go right towards it. It’s not her fault that she got fakes, how could she have known that they were?
And I’m pretty sure she paid a good bit for them too. Not as much as the real versions, but cheap enough for someone to think that they’re getting a bargain for it. I’d say at least somewhere in the double digits.

OH,AND BY THE WAY PLUTO, I REFERRING TO ME IS SPELT WITH A CAPITAL LETTER AND NOT LOWER CASE, WHICH IS GRAMMATICALLY WRONG. C'EST LA VIE
woolybob, you have been warned.
Writing in capital letters offends many members.
With the growing influence of Buddhism within the numismatic community, it is necessary that you eliminate this aura of dukkha.
Please return to lowercase letters, a writing more inclined to soukha, at the risk, if you persist in not disabling the capital key mode, that many members turn away from your discussion threads
