Coin identification help

Hi

I have a coin ( I think), that is round with nothing on it, what is it and is it worth anything? I appreciate any help or ideas, I'm new to the world of coin collecting, and learning as I go.  Thanks

Hello and welcome to Numista!  Looks like a planchet which typically is a blank (round, flat disk) that has had the raised rim put on prior to going to the minting press. Here one in the catalog for a US penny.  N#52814

With diameter and weight we could probably narrow it down if it is for a US coin.

Hi

Thank you so much! I tried looking in the catalog,  with no luck using pictures.  It weighs 2.50 grams and unsure of dimensions.

You're welcome. I'm guessing it's the same size as a penny, so a planchet for this coin:  N#43
