Coin is 19mm diameter.  Any ideas?

Definitely a ceitil.

 

This one have readable letters, you can read parts of IOHANES. 

 

Not sure if it's João II or João III.

This isn't my area of focus, I picked out of the bottom of a bargain bin, if anyone collects these, please reach out.

I don't collect them,  just checked around a bit, I'd say that's a $40 coin.

You never know what you will find, always worth a look!  Chalk this one up as one of my better finds.

 

I have only been collecting for a short time, but I have noticed that many dealers (in US and probably elsewhere) are focusing on gold/silver only.  Any world coin collections they take in, they don't bother sorting through they just dump in a bin.  For larger volume shops I guess they don't have the staff or expertise to research - which is fine by me!
