saw this on sale, looks pretty worn out, anyone know what type of coin it is and from which era?

 First side with a castle in  shield. 

Second side with a lion left in a shield, and ..ANIA..  lettering on lower right.

 Admittedly yes the first side does not have o above T on the left, 

but the other side looks similar. A start anyway.

Obverse: Crowned shield of a castle, mint mark left, VIII (value mark) right

Lettering: PHILIPPVS IIII D G 

 

Reverse: Crowned shield with a lion, date right.
