I recently added this coin (N#453655) and was wondering about what you guys thought the deposits on the coin itself were. Just Dirt and mud?

Are you scrupulously drumming up interest in your coin because you are trying to sell it, or are you interested in buying it?
King, I appreciate you believe I have the means for either but no I am not. I am a University Student. I am simply trying to figure out what the deposits are. I think it's probably mud but I am not sure. Normally, If I saw that on a coin I am looking at, I would think it is either improperly cleaned or a counterfeit.
😂😂 well you do have a gold sovereign as your profile photo, we can all dream about owning these gold coins…
As the coin in question is so old, I imagine it is probably deposited dirt from being hidden or buried somewhere. A restorer would be reluctant to try too hard to remove such deposits if there is a chance of damaging the coin, however it is unusual on a gold coin as gold is the least prone to such buildups of crud. Perhaps there was a inconsistency in the purity in this area which led to such a buildup (If that is what it is), however I don’t own enough gold to give a more definitive answer.

Those sound reasonable I suppose. Wouldn't want to hurt the coin and this is a foreign mint. The Sovereign in my photo is not in my collection unfortunately :( One day, hopefully when Gold is way down (I have been saying that delusionally for several years now)
