I have 2002 500 euro notes of different series. My question is how i know how much they worth?

Thanks M

They are worth 500 euros each. Unless you manage to convince somebody that your euro is somehow special.

Two years ago, a collector in Europe offered me one for 550 euro and I didn't accept that. Euros are just too expensive to collect.

- I agree, they do seem pricey.  But then again, I feel most banknotes from many nations have all increased in price dramatically in the past few years.  Whether this trend is due to increased platform fees (or for whatever reasons) it doesn't ease the pain to collect. It has certainly taken a big bite out of what one can afford these days.

I do feel that the Wim Duisenberg (WD first signature) variety from most nations is worthwhile keeping in AU-UNC condition for the lower (workhorse) denominations (5-20).  I think that the general distaste for the new currency (with their bland design- compared to pre-Euro) also makes them worth a look.  The 1st series, after a major currency reform, are often more collectible than subsequent later series (& WD versions were brief).  I have found EuroBillTracker fairly useful in guiding me on what nations (prefix) to seek but pinning down an actual market (or Book) value has been much more challenging. I also believe it's important to keep track of the printer code (not just the prefix) of the first 3 signatures.  Notes with foreign printer codes (compared to notes printed in the same country) are much harder to come by. Some of the stats for the 2002 10 Euro show this to be true.

This is like asking what a 2001 Canadian $10 is worth. We need to know which prefix (nation issued), signature & most importantly, condition. A picture of the note should be included.
