Please identification [solved]

14mm, core copper 

 My guess would be it was a button - 

with that dot in the middle of the reverse, 

where the loop used to attach it to clothing has broken off. 

 Can not make much out of that lettering around it. 

 Also - with that thick border around the first picture, 

it reminds me of this 

 which yes is a different design, but similar in a way. It was a detecting find 

as you can see - and on the reverse is the loop still intact - 

so that fell off the clothing because the cotton thread holding it had snapped.
