Dear All,
Numista - 50 Dinara Yugoslavia
According to Numista, there are two variants of the 1931 Yugoslavia 50 dinara banknote:
1. Standard issue with regular serial numbers.
2. Specimen/Test note, which likely includes serial numbers like “000” or other distinguishing features.
Am I correct?
Totally new in bank notes research, please go soft on me with remarks …
Thanks in advance.
Best, Mojč

I believe a Specimen will say Specimen. I can't explain your 000 serial number.

I guess it’s just luck
Did you know that Pluto is still a planet in Illinois and New Mexico and has de facto recognition as a planet in Arizona?

Actually I think that's exactly it. Every one I've seen have matching numbers here.

Ok,
If 000 (or more 0) were at the beginning, it would mean the bnote was an early issue, right?
Does ’just luck‘ bring some value to it?
Thanks, Mojč

I’m guessing the serial number doesn’t affect the price unless if someone is looking for a specific one

Pi is quite far back in the Serbian alphabet and with a block number of 617 (á 25 000 notes [it seems to follow the French ‘Alphabet’ issuing style]) and a control number of 15419000 it's definitively not an early issue. Also with the comments describing the variants in fine detail I am not sure where the confusion was in the first place.

Ok, there’s rarity, condition etc… but then there are numbers. I like nbr’s!;)
So, if I could ask you All for additional help, I would really appreciate it. Which would you choose then, if you were collecting ? (I dont even know how to correctly ask this question. I’m not selling.. just exploring..)
Tnx in advance. M
