Came from a family member who travelled to mexico often, probably where it was bought. Was told by a redditor it may be ancient indian.

Your chances of getting a prompt and accurate attribution would be greatly increased by providing a maximum diameter to the nearest mm and a weight to the nearest tenth of a gram.

Better late than never, i dont have a scale that can get much more precise than just 5 grams. Diameter is 17mm at widest point.
