Hello,

I was scrolling and came across these two banknotes, N#201845 and N#363958. The dates 2018 and 2020 are shared between them.

Looking at the images in the examples, I believe the 2015 should be it's own page, the 2018 and 2020 should be their own page, and finally the 2024 should also be it's own page (there are clear differences other than just the date). If not, at least one of the pages needs to be deleted and comments made about the differences between dates.

2015 (with old large hologram birds)
2018 (with gold hologram birds)
2020 (with gold hologram like 2018)
2024 (with green hologram birds)

Just thought I should bring this to someone's attention so there's not two different places to record a single banknote.

Best,

Parker

Hi Parker. Thanks for reporting!

Indeed, the holographic seal on the 2015 bill is quite different from those of later years. The TBB codes the 2015 banknote as B341 and the other years as B344.

In 2024, there was a color change in the seal (from gold to green), but I didn't easily notice what other major differences there might be.

One suggestion I could make (and ask others' opinions) is to have a register for the year 2015 (P#50 and TBB#341) and another register for the years 2018 to 2024 (TBB#344 and without Pick reference, since it doesn't exist). Even though the colors of the holographic seal change in 2024, I would keep the TBB#344 registers together for now.

What do you think?

Best,

Vladimir

I think that would be a great idea. The 2015 should be its own thing (P#50),with both the hologram and security thread being different.

They did officially “improve” it for 2018 and onwards, so definitely a change.

Yes, I agree that the others can be all together on another page (without a P#). I think that would work fine, even with the 2024, since the only difference is the color (although it may be wise to put it on a new page entirely, I don't know exactly how much of a difference warrants that, but we can see what others think). Either way would be fine with me.

Thanks vladthiengo for the quick response!

Hello, @freeze_coins

I have made adjustments to the records of the two 20,000 Guinea Francs notes. Check if everything is correct and if you have any adjustments or suggestions for the records.

N#201845

N#363958

Thank you, once again, for alerting us to these issues.

Vladimir.
