I do not find the name of this series in any language, so I use the general name “Chinese zodiac” in English (and its translation in other languages (“Zodiaco chino” in Spanish…).

Regarding the local name… the help article is outdated and does not say anything. https://en.numista.com/help/series-110.html

The series was issued in China, and its tokens only have Chinese characters. What do we do with the local name in these cases? We keep empty or use a general name in Chinese?

If I use the Chinese, could be: (EN) Chinese zodiac (ZH) 中国生肖

⚠️ I do not know the Chinese language! I use Google Translator.

----------------------------

Series dedicated to the Chinese zodiac. The Chinese zodiac is a traditional classification scheme based on the Chinese calendar that assigns an animal and its reputed attributes to each year in a repeating twelve-year cycle. Chinese folkway held that one's personality is related to the attributes of their zodiac animal. The twelve zodiac signs are: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig.

The series consists of twelve grey colour tokens issued by China Coins around 1995 and 2010. The obverses depict the zodiac animal, and the reverses depict its Chinese character.

Wanted & swap list (euro coins & world coins, exonumia and banknotes circulated) https://goo.gl/AQjfKp - I have euro & world CC coins for swap.
