It should be .900 fine gold. Both heads are not in favor of current ruling party and probably not favorite of locals. So you are likely only to get price of gold if you can't find their fans outside of Iran.

Just guesses based on one side and not seeing other. Search Iran for 1941-1979 Gregorian year range in numista catalogue. Very few put father and son on one coin/medal side.
