Will a dot be added to the world map to represent the island of Sint Maarten?
Good point, never was aware of that missed dot before.
Perhaps because the Dutch side of Sint Maarten was part of the Dutch Antillen till 2010. Now a days it has it's own government within the jurisdiction of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (till 2025 they use the Antillian guilden currency).
The new currency (2025) with the image of King Willem Alexander of the Netherlands (obverse) is still provided by the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten.
I'd like to see my new Sint Maarten coins represented on the map, please! 🙏

The 2025 Caribische gulden (XCG) series were struck to circulate on both islands Curacao and Sint Maarten.
Despite the distance the map should refeer to Curacao and Sint Maarten.
Will it be split then, since Sint Martin is part of France (and should be marked if owning French coins or euro), and Sint Maarten should be marked if owning Netherlands Antillen Gulden, US Dollar, or the new Netherlands Caribbean Gulden.
The dutch Sint-Maarten it's a country within the kingdom of the Netherlands with an own currency. The french territory (Collectivité du Saint-Martin) use the euro as currency.

I were there in Seotember last year, and they then used the US Dollar and the Netherlands Antillen Gulden. The new currency, shared with Curaçao, has barely started to circulate.
Yes, they also use the US dollar there, as well as everywhere in the world. Although the US dollar it's not an official currency.
You can pay there with Euro's too.

The euro is used in the French part of the island. All prices on the Dutch side were in USD and NAf. On the French side the prices were 1 EUR/1 USD.
Yes, as I told before (scroll up) at the French side they use the Euro, but at the Duch side they will accept Euro paper money too.
I bought the 2025 Curacao and Sint-Maarten series in an online numismatic shop here in the Netherlands. I do suppose that they already started to circulate there as well.

I'm just telling you that I were there in September, and the Dutch side did not use euros at all, but the French side accepted dollars.
Of course it should be on the map!
Dependencies with non-circulation coins only like Aldernay and Niue are on the map.
Sint Maarten has a somewhat similar status, now with circulating Sint Maarten coins! Within the Kingdom of the Netherland it is even considered a separate country since 2010.
Besides that, as British Indian Ocean Territory has a dot, there should be something for British Antarctica as well.
I would suggest to grow the map Southward a little, to include part of the tail of Antarctica below Tierra del Fuego, Chile.
That part of Antarctica is part of British Antarctica.
Yet another map suggestion: when hovering over any land East of New Zealand, then the information should be shown left of the pointing arrow. On the enlarged map that information disappears as it is too far right.
Used time zone is UTC+2:00.
Current time is 15:10.
