How does numista determine coin values? I never use them because they are generally below market value.

So am I correct in my understanding that the prices we put in the acquired price/value field are averaged with ebay/sell prices and used to populate the charts?  I gave that thread a skim but have not had a chance to deep dive into all the info.

If so that would make since to me that the prices here lean lower than market since we probably don't like paying retail or higher for our coins :P

Actually based on median not average.
