Hi

 

Is anyone here a member of a numismatic society?

 

I have been looking at at the British Numismatic society and the Royal Numismatic society recently and just wondering if they are worth the membership?

Personally I would look for your local club, so that you can attend their meetings and take an active role.

Hi

Beeing a member of a Numismatic club or society can be very useful: personal (not virtual) contact with other collectors,  direct and real (not virtual) handling of coins, activ pers9nal (not only virtual)  participation in meetings and/or conferences, and a great etc……

Auckland Numismatic Society since 2019

Royal New Zealand Numismatic Society since 2023

 

Both meet in cities outside where I live, so I am mainly a “Zoom” member.

I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.
