1. British hong kong (1841-1992) and hong kong

Why? Hong kong didnt seperate from the uk until 1997.

Does it indicate it british hong kong? Yes

Few examples:

British hong kong

Hong kong

So their is a clear different between them, and why 1992? Because The same logic as belize and british honduras

Belize:

Also note that belize is indepedent but under british commonwealth while hong kong isnt so they why belize haves 2 designs

British honduras:

And many british commonwealth still have british kings in their coins such as canada, australia and etc:

Examples:

I also want to mention iran and perisa but I make it after the post is either approved or declined.

Anyways good day.

We do not divide when there is clear continuity.

Catalogue administrator

The British Hong Kong and the Hong Kong special administrative region have the same name and the same territory. In this case our guidelines (https://en.numista.com/help/add-or-modify-an-issuer-in-the-catalogue-191.html) consider they are a single issuer.

The change of political status is represented by a different concept: the ruling authority.

Hong Kong was actually a British colony, therefore, Queen Elizabeth II's reign there ended in 1997.

As for Belize, it was actually a  British colony from 1 June 1973 until September 1981, when Belize became an independent Dominion of the British Commonwealth.

Australia & Canada also have King Charles III as their head of state, as does New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, & Tuvalu.

Gibraltar is unique among British Overseas Territories in actually having King Charles III titled as ‘King of Gibraltar’ on coins.
