I would like to be able to search by Set and to have a page listing all of them instead of having to browse through each coin to check if they belong to a set

https://en.numista.com/catalogue/set.php?id=119

Searching for sets is not possible now but has been promised to become available. That was discussed in the post that announced sets had been added to Numista.

I see

So I can look for sets checking the coin page.

For exemple

N#423090

is present in set

Specimen Set – Monarch Butterfly (2025)

whilst no set exists as of today for this coin

N#2992

Yes, exactly, no set with this Italian coin yet.

Sets are very new in Numista, still in development, I would say. I see theree are only 388 created as far (not all published yet). I created two, to check how it works and now I'm waiting for guidelines for sets section before I will create the next ones…

Yeah, I only made one for test porpuses and without a common guide I see quite a bit of redo in the future of those that are sprinting inti the dark right now. I have 600+ in my Excel-file and want to do it only once. 😅

Google AI told me this today:

A "set.php?id=" link on Numista.com typically refers to a specific coin set within their catalogue. The "id" parameter likely represents a unique identifier for that particular set in the database.

For example, the link https://en.numista.com/catalogue/set.php?id=327 refers to a specific unpublished set on Numista. Similarly, https://en.numista.com/catalogue/set.php?id=531 leads to another set, this one described as being composed of three silver coins.

While you cannot currently search specifically for sets within the Numista catalogue, this functionality is reportedly planned for future implementation. To find information on sets, you'll generally need to browse through individual coins and check if they belong to a set.

Mr. Google is watching.
